The AIRCAST ActyToe Night hallux valgus night splint is specially designed for night-time immobilization and relief of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. The rigid splint is available in three sizes and provides effective stabilization during sleep. A soft memory foam cushion gently adapts to the irritated bunion, soothes the tissue and protects against pressure points. The targeted external traction supports a gentle corrective position, resulting in a high level of patient compliance. The stable metatarsal strap ensures additional support and secure straightening of the foot, so that an optimum therapeutic effect is achieved.

Indication

• Pain relief for patients with symptomatic hallux valgus (bunion)
  
• Mild or moderate misalignment of the big toe
  
• Maintaining the position after surgery to correct hallux valgus

Contraindications:

If it is not possible to passively correct the angle (< 20°) of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe, we recommend not wearing the splint.

Caution with:

• Gout attack
• Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAD) or circulatory disorders
• Rheumatic diseases
• Hypersensitivity to pressure
• Osteoarthritis in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe
• Polyneuropathy
• Soft tissue swelling

The product should not be used in the case of

• Skin diseases or skin injuries in the affected body area
• Known allergies to materials from which the medical device is made
