Good to know
MDR
The abbreviation MDR stands for "Medical Device Regulation", an EU-wide regulation that standardizes and updates the requirements for medical devices. Its main aim is to ensure a high level of product safety and quality. Medical devices that comply with the MDR meet strict safety and quality criteria.
All our products are MDR-compliant and certified accordingly. MDR-compliant items bear the CE marking and are supplied with all the necessary documentation confirming their compliance with the legal standards. This ensures that medical devices can be used safely in the EU and fulfill their medical purpose.
Pharmacode
A Pharmacode is a unique identification number for medicinal products and other pharmacy products in Switzerland. It enables fast and error-free recording in sales and billing.
MiGeL
The MiGeL ("Mittel- und Gegenständeliste") is a list of medical aids and devices that can be reimbursed by compulsory health insurance in Switzerland.
Each MiGeL item is given a specific code that allows it to be clearly assigned for billing purposes with the health insurance companies. If a product is on this list, the costs may be covered by basic insurance. Prior consultation with your health insurance company is recommended, as reimbursement conditions may vary from case to case.
If you wish to apply for reimbursement, the MiGeL code is required to clearly identify the product in question and simplify the process.
If available, you can find the respective MiGeL codes in our online store on the product page. The complete list can also be found on the website of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).
