Pharmacode
A Pharmacode is an identification code for medicinal products and other pharmacy products on the Swiss market. It is used for unique identification and fast processing during sales and billing.
MiGeL
MiGeL stands for "Mittel- und Gegenständeliste" in Switzerland. It is a list of medical aids and devices that can be reimbursed by the compulsory health insurance (basic insurance).
A MiGeL code is a specific number assigned to an item on the Swiss List of Medical Devices and Appliances. It is used for unique identification for billing purposes with health insurance companies.
If a product is on the MiGeL list, this means that it may be reimbursed by your basic insurance. However, you should always clarify this with your health insurance company in advance, as there may be individual conditions and requirements.
If you wish to claim reimbursement from your health insurance company for a specific product, the MiGeL code may be required to uniquely identify the product and facilitate the reimbursement process.
Where applicable, you will find the MiGeL codes in our online store on the respective product page.
The official MiGeL list can also be viewed on the website of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).
